Getting There
By Air
Zurich Airport (ZRH) is the closest major international hub, approximately 90 minutes by car or rail to Engelberg.
From Zurich, take a train to Lucerne, then connect to the Engelberg line. The railway journey itself is scenic and relaxed—part of arriving in alpine stillness.
By Rail
Engelberg is well-connected by Swiss railways. Trains run regularly from Zurich, Lucerne, and major Swiss cities.
The final journey to SÉRAC from Engelberg station takes approximately 15 minutes by car or private transfer. We can arrange this service for you.
By Car
Self-driving is possible, though the mountain roads require careful attention. The drive from Zurich takes approximately 2 hours.
SÉRAC offers secure parking for guests. We recommend coordinating your arrival time in advance so we can ensure smooth check-in.
Transfers
We offer private transfer services from Zurich Airport and Lucerne Station. Our drivers understand that arrival is a transition—journeys are quiet, comfortable, and designed to begin your shift toward stillness.
Please arrange transfers when confirming your booking. Drive times vary seasonally due to mountain conditions.
What to Expect
Check-in
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM. We welcome early arrivals and will do our best to accommodate them. Please let us know your expected arrival time.
Documentation
All guests require a valid passport. EU citizens do not need visas for Switzerland. Citizens of other countries should verify their visa requirements in advance.

Engelberg experiences distinct seasons. Summer brings clear skies and warm days; winter brings snow and creates a meditation-like stillness. Pack accordingly for the season of your visit. We provide information about current conditions upon booking.
